Dave established NorthStar Payroll on the foundation of 35 years of CPA, CFO and accounting industry expertise. His company provides payroll and employee management solutions to help clients improve operations and position them for future growth.
NorthStar Payroll partners with small to medium sized businesses, churches and non-profit organizations ranging from 1 to several hundred employees to deliver a personal and customized approach. Dave’s company also integrates leading solution providers in electronic timekeeping, background checks, benefits, hiring assessments, and others to meet comprehensive employer needs. They believe being a quality provider doesn’t stop at delivering the paycheck and paying the taxes.
Dave’s experience includes being a CPA firm partner, the co-founder and CFO of Naturally Potatoes (a Maine based food processing business), tax and accounting industry software executive with ATX and then CCH Small Firm Services. Among many civic and non-profit leadership roles he has held, Dave currently serves as Board Chair for Rescuing Hope (rescuinghope.com), an organization on the frontlines of the fight against sex trafficking / human trafficking trade. In the accounting industry, he has served in state society positions, on the AICPA Council, and on the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC).
Dave resides in Kennesaw, GA with his wife Donalee and enjoys time with four children and four grandchildren spread around the Southeast US whenever they can get together.
